6 days until Wrestlemania. I’ve got my sweatpants on; have you?

Tonight, gauntlets will be thrown down. PWInsider reports that tonight is an “all hands on deck” affair, with injured and shamed superstars backstage. For what reason? Who knows. I sure as hell don’t.

This Week’s Predictions

Less than a week left heading into the Show of Shows, and most superstars have found a place on the card - bar those who are injured, or suspended for unspeakable acts to Katie Vick.

You laugh, but it happened! WWE

There’s 13 announced matches for the Show of Shows, excluding two main event names - John Cena and the Undertaker. Since Fastlane, the John Cena has been calling out the Deadman, laying claim to a WrestleMania matchup. It seems like his efforts were for naught, until the arrival of a demon from hell. The Demon Kane emerged to teach Cena a lesson on family. John sent the Demon packing back to Hell, delivering an emphatic statement to ‘Taker - but the Deadman remained, and continues to remain, silent. Cena is desperate, and you know what they say about desperate times… with only a week until the Show of Shows, who knows what steps he’ll take to ensure his spot at WrestleMania?

While Cena tries to hold on to a WrestleMania spot, Intercontinental Champion The Miz is looking to hold on to his title. If Mike manages to retain at ‘Mania, he only needs 20 days to become the longest reigning IC Champ in history. But that will be no small feat - he has to best both Finn Balor and Seth Rollins to reach that milestone. While presenting a united front against the Miz and Miztourage, Balor and Rollins have shown no discretion when taking eachother on, and undoubtedly that trend will continue on into their match tonight. Both are looking for a little momentum heading into WrestleMania, but what lengths will they go to? Who knows? I don’t. My money is on Rollins, though.

The resident Monster among Men Braun Strowman is still partnerless a mere week before his Tag Team Title match against The Bar. Dirtsheets are throwing names to the wind. Namedropping is bad enough, but even worse when these names are just suggested because they’re available. Neville, Rey Mysterio, Big Show, Shaq, Hulk Hogan, Kane… the list goes on. My guess? One of these names as a surprise partner, showing up at WrestleMania, and taking the pin. This seems like a stopgap feud. But who knows? Seriously. I don’t. Aside from PPV predictions, I am often wrong (though not always - see my first article)

What a Wrestlemania moment!! WWE

Strowman’s old rival the WWE Roman Reign finds himself in a bigger predicament. The past two weeks have been unkind to the Big Dog. Beaten down, suspended, unsuspended, and beaten again. Jesus. I expect picket signs tonight. Maybe rioting. Who knows? Brock Lesnar has made Roman Reigns’ life bad for the past two weeks. People are upset, for reasons I don’t understand. Our friend Roman Reigns has been dealt injustices for the past two weeks. How will he deal with another beatdown tonight? This author looks forward to the outcome.

Lastly, on the women’s end. Nia Jax (who differs in many ways from the majority of women) has a little bone to pick with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. Last week, the champion took a cheap shot at the Irresistible Force, prompting a challenge from Jax. With only a week until WrestleMania, will Bliss show up this week on RAW? Or, will she cover her losses and hold out until the Show of Shows? While it seems like the latter, it’s far more likely the former.

Good Housekeeping

  • Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle are set to face off with Triple H & Stephanie McMahon - in the social media lounge. Despite this, will a physical confrontation happen?
  • It seems Asuka is pulling double duty, but is this her last week on RAW?
  • What Cruiserweight action will unfold tonight?

That’s it for this article; but what are your thoughts? Let us know. See you next week, and as always, thanks for reading!
