EDMONTON, AB: “Don’t underestimate the power of the Force” - Darth Vader, but also, the Albertan wrestling scene.

On October 18th, Force Pro Wrestling will make its highly-anticipated return in hosting Force Pro Wrestling: The Prelude. The event marks the promotion’s first show following a year-and-a-half hiatus.

“This all-ages event has something for every fan, old and new,” said the promotion in a release on Facebook. “Alberta talent in a venue like YEG has never seen before.”

In addition to their first show, Force Pro Wrestling also announced a partnership with the Prairie Wrestling Alliance that will see the two promotions share talent throughout the province.

“With this agreement in place, PWA talent will be appearing on future FPW events within Edmonton and any planned events throughout Alberta,” commented PWA CEO Kurt Sorochan. “Furthermore, both promotions will also be exploring new and unique opportunities to work together on various events never experienced within Alberta.”

For the last two months, Force Pro Wrestling has been cooperating with the Prairie Wrestling Alliance in hosting a training school in downtown Edmonton. The camp has featured a mini-camp hosted by Michael Richard Blais, one of the most respected talents in the Western Canada Wrestling Scene.

FPW hopes to make an impact on the local scene with a pair of monthly shows: one evening will host a family-friendly event, while the other being tailored more for an adult crowd.

Tickets for Force Pro Wrestling: The Prelude are available in advance by calling 587-920-4119. Online and vendor locations will be announced soon.  This all-ages show on October 18th will have the doors open at 7:30 pm, with a bell time of 8 pm.
