Happy Halloween, y’all! Sadly, no Trick or Treat Street Fight for NXT this year.

After a hell of an episode last week, NXT attempts to follow up the shocking events of October 24th. We saw a clean win for EC3, a shocking heel turn, and got a rough idea of what the main event scene will look like in the future.

A recap of last weeks episode:

  • EC3 defeats Adam Cole, Undisputed Era reacts accordingly.
  • Mia Yim defeats Aliyah.
  • Kassius Ohno defeats Justin Xavier.
  • William Regal comes out for the NXT Championship announcement when he’s interrupted by Tommaso Ciampa, Velveteen Dream & Lars Sullivan. Nikki Cross comes in and announces “he’s coming”.
  • Aleister Black makes a calm, civilized entrance & enters a discussion with the three gentlemen & security. Johnny Gargano superkicks Aleister! Johnny is the attacker!!

As always, I’m Parker Love – here with your weekly NXT Preview!

Note: Spoilers are available for NXT this evening – available on Win Column Sports!

The Main Event

WWE

After interfering in the Tag Team title match just a few weeks ago, GM William Regal has decided that the War Raiders get a crack at Adam Cole & Bobby Fish tonight.

Since Fish’s return, we’ve seen the Undisputed Era have more of an edge to them - first the attack on Rowe & Hanson, then the steel chair attack on EC3 last week. Personally, I love it. It never hurts to give a heel faction some teeth, and this is an extremely realistic way of doing just that. However, that sh** probably won’t fly with these two bruisers. Let’s just go in there and see what happens!

Other Segments

One of NXT’s newest signees makes his debut tonight, as Matt Riddle makes his TV debut for the Black & Gold. Will we hear anything from Kassius Ohno? Either way, expect the standard rollout for the King of the Bros.

New EVOLVE Tag Team Champions (albeit before they became champs) The Street Profits are in action against The Mighty. Colour me thrilled. I will take no further comments.

NXT’s twisted sister & MVP Nikki Cross is in action tonight, taking on Mercedes Martinez. However, this may just be a squash, but will it have storyline implications with the ongoing Aleister Black storyline? Will Johhny Gargano’s wife Candice LeRae have anything to say to Nikki? Only one way to find out!

Odds & Ends

Why, Johnny, why!? It couldn’t be for The Rock, but why? Granted, if it gives us heel DIY, I absolutely would not complain. As well, Gargano vs Black will be really interesting.  Regardless, it seems Johnny has his best friend back.

Both Velveteen Dream & Lars Sullivan made their point to become #1 contender last week before everything went to hell with Regal’s announcement. Will we hear any further development? Granted, Aleister only dummied one of these guys last week…

We have a neeeeew NXT Women’s Champion, and she has some new friends! Shanya Baszler became the first two-time women’s champ by defeating Kairi Sane, albeit with a lot of help from her horsewomen friends, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. What’s next for 3/4th’s of the Horsewomen? Who will Kairi Sane enlist to even the odds? I know a certain STARDOM partner that might help…

Perhaps one of the biggest stories of the week is the results of Evolve 114 - with both Fabien Aichner & The Street Profits claiming gold with EVOLVE. What does this mean for the future of NXT & Evolve? Does NXT now have their own development? This is waaaay different than just having crossover matches like before.

That’s it for tonight! What do you think about tonight’s episode? Let us know by commenting, or by following us on Facebook and Twitter! Thanks for reading, and see you next week!
