As first reported by WWE, former WWE Women’s Champion Lita will return to the ring at Evolution, the first all-female pay-per-view in the companies history. On October 28, the former Team Xtreme member will face off against longtime rival Mickie James in Lita’s first singles match since 2006. In fact, Lita squared off with James in that match as well, featured at Survivor Series 2006.
Lita last wrestled for WWE in January, when she made a surprise return at the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble. Entering at #5, she looked impressive in eliminating both Tamina and Mandy Rose prior to being tossed out by Becky Lynch.
In addition to Lita vs. James, Alexa Bliss will take on Trish Stratus in the only other confirmed match on the card. Additionally, WWE Evolution will feature the finals of the Mae Young Classic, and will feature every women’s championship being defended.
